NAME THE WIENER MAN CONTEST!

On  Monday, March 21, 2011 we asked our patrons to use their creativity and help us come up with a name for our mascot who, up until now, had been referred to as “The Wiener Man”. The following affiliate locations also participated to promote this contest:  Ranch Wagon Express at Thomas’ Super FoodTown, Dallas, and Pikes Creek Raceway Park, Rt. 118 Hunlock Creek. Our grand prize winner, Donna O’Neill of Wilkes-Barre was awarded: A  gas grill  and grill accessories valued at $220.00, a $100.00 gift card from Thomas’ Family Markets, and a $30.00 gift certificate from Pikes Creek Raceway Park! Our mascot’s name is SPURS! You’ll see a special SPURS dog on our menu very soon!

THE TIMES LEADER/DALLAS POST recently conducted a contest for the community to select their favorite spots in the Back Mountain…and we were voted Best Hot Dogs FOR 2009 AND 2010.

The  Ranch Wagon was also voted 2010 best burgers and best caterer!

Wow, it only took 55 years!  We attribute our longevity to providing what our customers want for their fast food experience, and provide it in a manner that is fun, unique and family friendly!

Ranch Wagon Restaurant Announces New Business Venture

JUNE 2010

Who says “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?” A Long hot dog that is. Ranch Wagon owners, Allan and Barbara Roberts announce their newest location at Pikes Creek Raceway Park, Route 118, Pikes Creek. Raceway owners, Greg and Anne Marie Zimmerman team up with the established Back Mountain eatery and are offering the same menu items that customers have come to know and love.

Drawing on the expertise and long time history of the popular Ranch Wagon, this new location seems like a perfect fit for the two businesses. “Combined with the 1/4 mile, clover leaf go-cart race track, miniature golf and arcade, we now have a new destination for our regular customers and new customers alike”, stated Greg. “The covered pavilion offers a shady rest for outdoor dining in our beautiful 5 acre country setting. It truly is a place for family fun and great food!” an enthusiastic Anne Marie chimed in.

Open 7 days a week, Ranch Wagon at Pikes Creek Raceway Park hours are Monday through Friday 6PM to 8:30 PM and 12 PM to 8:30 PM Saturday and Sunday. Call in orders are always welcome at: 570-477-3188; just ask for the Ranch Wagon.

The Ranch Wagon also offers express services at BeerTown, located inside Thomas’ FoodTown in the Dallas Country Club Shopping Center on Route 309, Dallas. “We grill our signature long dogs, and you top them at our self-serve condiment bar, stated Roberts, and our customers appreciate the budget friendly weekly specials.”   “It’s fast and ready for the busy mom and grocery shopper, and an easy stop in for local businesses”, stated Chris Evans, Thomas’owner and business associate of Ranch Wagon.

Expanding locally is a logical step for these businesses and offers fans of the Ranch Wagon a variety of locations. Who knows what’s next?
